Marketing, Sales, Commerce, Recruitment: A Jack of All Trades
During his studies at business school, Lionel gained rich experience through numerous internships in the fields of communication and marketing.
Driven by a particular sensitivity to human contact, Lionel naturally gravitated towards sales, especially in the luxury sector. It was there that he had his first contact with temporary work, undertaking long-term assignments for major fashion houses.
He traveled to Australia for a year, where, beyond discovering the country, he explored various service jobs, from cleaning to catering and distribution. This experience gives him a unique perspective today from the other side of the professional mirror!
It was upon his return to France that Lionel, eager for new opportunities, crossed paths with Staffmatch. "It was a company where, from the beginning, I could see myself," he explains. "Human-sized, with a revolutionary model in the market, I immediately felt the potential."
🚀 Lionel started as a Business Developer and quickly rose through the ranks, first to the position of agency manager, and then to assume broader responsibilities as a sector manager.
Being a Sector Manager: Between Business Development and Human Resources
As a sector manager, Lionel plays an essential role in ensuring the connection between the commercial management based in Paris and the operational side of the agencies he oversees. Lionel navigates with ease between the human resources and commercial aspects.
His job revolves around three main areas:
✅ Recruitment
✅ Management
✅ Business development
What fascinates Lionel in his role is that through the commercial ties forged in different sectors of activity, he acquires a 360-degree vision of how a company operates and the regional economic ecosystem.
“My position allows for both a micro (per company) and macro-economic view of the entire market in a territory. You then understand the dynamics and mechanics of correlations between all economic players beyond simple notions of supply and demand. These are the aspects that make the subject so fascinating,” Lionel explains.
