To address the rising costs of energy and fuel, the government has implemented the inflation relief payment (indemnité inflation). This €100 allowance is funded by the State and paid in a single installment by the employer to their employees.
Are you eligible for this allowance?
To be eligible for the inflation relief payment, you must have had a temporary work contract during the month of October 2021, regardless of the number of hours worked.
Your gross earnings over the last 10 months must also be less than €26,000, a calculation based on the number of days worked will be performed.
Example:
- You worked 50 days from January 1st to October 31st
- You received a gross salary of €15,000
- From January 1st to October 31st, there are 304 calendar days
€15,000 / 50 days worked x 304 calendar days = €91,200.
In this example, you are not entitled to the allowance, even though your salary is €15,000.
However, if your gross earnings are greater than €26,000 over this same period, you are not eligible for the allowance and you must inform our services.
If you are eligible, you will receive the inflation relief payment on your December pay, paid on January 10, 2022.
It will appear on your payslip under the description “Indemnité Inflation”.
If you worked for several temporary employment agencies, the allowance will be paid by the agency for which you worked the most.
We invite you to report all hours worked for your various employers to avoid incorrect payment.
Furthermore, if you are aware that you are not eligible, please notify us.
