Missions: Mason’s Assistant

The mason’s assistant supports all stages of a construction site under the guidance of the main mason. They prepare materials, tools, and work surfaces, with a daily routine involving a wide range of physical and essential construction tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Transporting and supplying the site with materials (sand, cement, bricks, etc.)
  • Preparing mixes (mortar, concrete) according to instructions
  • Cleaning tools and machinery, keeping the site tidy
  • Assisting with laying foundations, walls, or slabs
  • Supporting the mason in assembling structures and applying coatings
  • Installing safety equipment and reporting any anomalies

With experience and a solid grasp of construction techniques, wages can gradually increase to about €2,000 gross per month. Additional compensation may include: Meal allowances ("panier" bonuses) Attendance or performance bonuses Travel allowances For temporary workers, the base salary is often complemented by end-of-mission allowances (IFM) and paid leave compensation (ICP), resulting in a net monthly wage that is often more attractive than in permanent contracts for the same role.
