A diploma in the field of commerce, such as a specialized sales employee CAP, a professional baccalaureate in Commerce, or a BTS in Operational Commercial Management, is often recommended. Mastery of sales techniques and a good understanding of computer tools are essential. Ongoing training on new products and market trends is also important.
With experience, a sales advisor can advance to management positions such as department manager, sector manager, or store director. Specialization in areas such as merchandising, marketing, or customer relationship management can open other career opportunities.
